A lot of fun

At 33 years old, I am 1m80 tall, weigh 68 kg and have an estimated VO₂max of ≈ 76 ml/kg/min. My approach to performance is based above all on consistency, balance and a lifestyle built day after day.

I am a non-smoker and only drink alcohol occasionally and for pleasure, without any search for excess. I also take medication very rarely, only when it is truly necessary.

My diet is mostly vegetarian, with meat consumption limited to ≈ once per month on average, depending on the occasion and desire. A way of showing that it is possible to perform at a high level without basing one’s nutrition on a high consumption of animal products.

For me, the goal is not deprivation, but the right balance. Sustainable performance is not built on extremes, but on consistent habits repeated over years: sleep, nutrition, recovery, movement and mental balance.

With ≈ 15 hours of training per week on average throughout the year, recovery plays a central role in my approach. Sleeping 8 to 9 hours per night and aiming for around five sleep cycles is just as much a part of training as the kilometers covered.

This philosophy can be summarized simply: it is possible to enjoy life while still performing at a high level. Everything is a matter of balance and dosage. As Paracelsus said: “The dose makes the poison.” This applies just as much to alcohol, smoking, medication or junk food… as it does to training itself.

I believe that the body often reflects the way it is treated. To a large extent, we are the result of our daily habits.
